Collection: KURAR
Kurar, born in 1983 in France (Clermont-Ferrand), is a stencil artist whose work often addresses complex social issues such as post-urbanization, climate change, terrorism, and violence in local and global terms. He started in the 90s working on 3D lettering in graffiti art and, over the years, he focused on stencil art. His first exhibition was in France and now he is known and appreciated worldwide thanks his numerous solo and group shows. In his artworks he uses a lot of symbolic and material contrast: the contraposition between gray, black and fluorescent colors; the irony of his images and the strong messages. His techniques include stencil, collage and fresco, and all his pieces put in the middle the ideas of modern society, war, religion and consumerism with elements of humor.
Last show with the artist: Group show “URBAN FEELINGS”!
The group show Urban Feelings invited the artists to arouse emotions in the viewer or represent an emotion in its depiction. The type of emotions or feelings to convey them, and how to do it, was absolutely at the discretion of the artists. The choice of a macro-theme is precisely to give to the artists the maximum freedom of expression!
